Obituary of Leroy M. Morris

Bedford Leroy M. Morris, 83, of 2018 12th Street, Bedford, died at 7:50 am on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at his residence. Born July 24, 1921 in Paoli, he was the son of Roy Morris and Marguerite Hickman. He married Christina M. Prewitt on July 12, 1941 and she survives. He was a life-long resident of Bedford and the owner of E & M Machine & Tool Co., Inc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II, a member of the Free Methodist Church in Bedford and Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Surviving with his wife, Christina are three daughters, Judy Cunnington and Linda White and her husband, Jerry both of Bedford and Donna Dodds and her husband, Randy of Heltonville; two sons, David Morris and Allen Morris and his wife, Linda both of Bedford; fifteen grandchildren, Dean Borden of Bedford, Bill Borden and his wife, Kim of Bedford, Larry Borden and his wife, Pat of Bedford, Melinda Lewis and her husband, Jason of Oolitic, Brad Armstrong and his wife, Stephanie of Bedford, Jeremiah Anderson and his wife, Misti of Spencer, Stacey Moore and her husband, Brian of Bedford, Jerry White and his wife, Angie of Elgin, IL, Brant Morris and his wife, Stacy of Cape Coral, FL, Jonathon Morris of Bedford, Candy Schofield of Bedford, Missy Collingsworth and her husband, Shawn of Bedford, Amy Vorndran of Heltonville, Bill Morris of Bedford and Christina Hatfield of Norman; twenty-eight great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren two sisters, Kathrine OBrien of Bedford and Betty Parkhurst of Brownsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack Taylor and Carl Morris and three great grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 25th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Dave Colgan officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
