Obituary of Jean B. Moore

Bedford Jean B. Moore, 83, of 503 V Street, Bedford, died at 2:50 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital. Born July 22, 1927 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Clifton and Prescilda (Mercier) Moore. He married Lois Armstrong on January 28, 1950 and she died on July 5, 1969. He retired from Cummins Engine and NWSC CRANE. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Survivors include three daughters, Joy Daugherty and husband, Robert, Jerri Smith and husband, David all of Bedford, Jamie Moore and companion, Rob Robbins of Seymour; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Prescilda Bruce of Florida; one brother, Francis Moore of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, George and Tommy Moore; two sisters, Doris Fowler and Florence Goodin. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Carl Gilmore officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery with military rites accorded at the graveside. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, February 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
