Obituary of Richard Moore

Bedford Richard Edward Moore, 72, of Bedford, died at 9:50 pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at his residence. Born September 11, 1935 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Earl and Dorval (Butcher) Moore. He married Connie Reed on December 22, 2006 and she survives. He was the self employed owner of Moores Roofing and Construction Co. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #1085 in Bloomington and #654 of Bedford, V.F.W. Post #686 of Oolitic and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Connie of Bedford; one daughter, Tamara Moore of Bedford; three step-children, Laura Ortiz and Lisa Ortiz both of California, Timothy Ortiz of Bedford; one grandson, Richard Keith Moore of Bloomington; three brothers, Russell, Ralph and Raymond Moore all of Bedford; five nieces, Ramona of Mitchell, Roanna of Guthrie, Teresa of Bloomington, Rhonda of Bedford and Tracee of Bloomington; and three nephews, Kevin and Mike both of Bedford and Greg of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Moore, two sisters, Wanda Moore and Wilma Jean and one nephew, Jerry Boofer. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 29th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
