Obituary of Clyde Moore

Bedford Clyde Moore, 85, of 1119 24th Street, Bedford, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood. Born January 15, 1924 in Oolitic, he was the son of Clyde and Ola Mae (Staggs) Moore. He married Maxine Anderson on September 19, 1942 and she preceded him in death. He was the owner/operator of the Anderson Roller Land in Bedford for fifty-five years and a member of the Free Methodist Church. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army and a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and Murat Temple. Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Freeman and her husband, Robert of Bedford, Gayle Finney and her husband, Doug of Columbus, IN; three grandchildren, Doug Finney, Jr. and his wife, Gena of Columbus, IN, Chris Finney and his wife, Susan of Greenwood, Robin Freeman of Charleston, SC; three great grandchildren, Austin, Kyle and Cole Finney; of Columbus, IN; one sister, Mary Judah of Oolitic. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Doris Moore and Jane Bridwell; two brothers, Lawrence Moore and Eugene Moore; a grandson, Timothy C. Finney Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 15th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 pm. View Video Tribute
