Obituary of Ruth Ethel Moore

Bedford Ruth Ethel Moore, 81, of 1119 24th Street, Bedford, Indiana died at 11:35 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at the home of her daughter. Born April 5, 1924 in Bedford, Indiana she was the daughter of Ona Franklin and Mary Wilma (Sharpe) Roberts. She married Joe Hackett in 1942 and he preceded her in death. She later married Clyde Moore in 1984 and he survives. She retired with twenty years of service from RCA in Bloomington, Indiana. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Bedford, Indiana, Omega Nu Tau Sorority Epsilon Chapter and was a Pink Lady Volunteer at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Surviving with her husband, Clyde, are two daughters, Mary Adams of Bedford, Indiana and Libby Simms and her husband, Ray of Georgia; two sons, Dan Hackett, and his wife, Barbara, and Frank Hackett, and his wife, Debbie, all of Bedford, Indiana; two step-daughters, Gayle Finney and her husband, Doug, of Columbus, Indiana, Jacque Freeman and her husband, Bob, of Bedford, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Viola Bunch, Betty Colburn and Virginia Massey; two brothers, Jim Roberts and Harry Roberts. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 10th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Reed Beard officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 9th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
