Obituary of Harriet A. Mitchell

Bedford, Harriet A. Mitchell, 79, of 8365 State Road 158 in Bedford, IN, died at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2003, at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on December 15, 1923 in Terre Haute, IN, she was the daughter of T. Earl and Berniece (Harvey) Drake. She married Warren Mitchell on November 29, 1942, and he survives. She was a homemaker and a teller for Stone City Bank plus a switchboard operator for Bedford Regional Medical Center and worked in research for Crane. She was a 50 year member of the Easter Star where she was a past District Deputy, Worthy Matron and Grand Representative to Kentucky. She was also an adult volunteer leader for 4-H. Surviving with the husband of Bedford, are one son: Tom Mitchell of Sommerset, IN; three daughters: Kathy Myers of Oregonia, OH, Jean Kozak of Beltsville, MD, Pat Gramling of Ashley, IN; six grandchildren: Dennis and Brad Mitchell, Lorraine Myers, Barney, Katie and Lizzie Gramling; two brothers: John and Bob Drake; two sisters: Virginia Rockwood and Nancy Moore all of Terre Haute, IN. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28th, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Merle Craig officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
