Obituary of Hilda Mitchell
Bedford-Hilda R. Mitchell, 76, of 1315 14th Street, passed away at 6:20 P.M. Sunday, December 3rd at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born on November 28, 1930 in Oolitic, IN, she was the daughter of David Miller and Inez (Lewis) Miller. She had worked in the Recorders Office for Betty Edwards, Bob Adamson in Auditors Office, City/Clerk Office for Pauline Craig and Mayor John Williams for 16 years as office manager. She was active in the Republican Party and Womens Business Association. She married Robert M. Mitchell on October 16, 1949 and he survives.
Surviving with her husband Bob of Bedford and one daughter: Connie Diaz and her husband, Walt of Indianapolis, IN; one grandson: Mitch Diaz; three step-grandchildren, Tammy Hart, Sara Diaz and Andrew Diaz; one sister: Mary Stewart of Springville, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Marie Bingham. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Br. Stan Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
