Obituary of Frances Minick

BedfordFrances Minick, 93, of 1717 H Street, passed away at 4:08 A.M. Sunday, May 02, 2004 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on September 21, 1910 she was the daughter of William Claiborne Brock and Julia S. (Hastings) Brock. She married George Minick on December 25, 1941 and he passed away on December 29, 1994. Mrs. Minick graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Science/Home Economics from the University of Kentucky. After graduation she was an Extension Educator for the University of Kentucky and Purdue University and later moved to Bedford. Surviving are two nieces, Susan Brock of Somerset, KY and Mrs. Jane M. Woodall of Washington, D.C. and two nephews, Richard Brock of Van Nuys, CA and Robert A. Minick of Brooksville, FL; one cousin, Mona McNamara of Belmond, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers, Nelson, Lawrence and Emmet Brock and two sisters, Ruth Wyatt and Elizabeth Brock. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Curtis Hurley officiating. Friends may call at Day & Carter on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 E.D.T. Wednesday, May 5th at the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, Kentucky. Frances & George will be buried together in the Winchester Cemetery. Burial will follow at the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, Kentucky
