Obituary of Roberta L. Miller

Bedford Roberta L. (Ross) Miller, 92, of Bedford died at 12:55 pm on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born December 18, 1916 in Lawrence Co., IN, she was the daughter of David and Etta (Hillenburg) Hawkins. She first married Aubrey E. Ross on April 21, 1939 and he died November 11, 1984. She later married Glanferd B. Miller on October 4, 1996 and he died May 27, 2007. She had worked at Indiana University and at the Bedford Regional Medical Center and Dunn Memorial Hospital. She attended the Bedford First Assembly of God and Souls Harbor in Bloomington. Survivors include step-children, Belinda Martin of Bloomington, Burlen Miller and wife, Sandra of Martinsville, Judy McMahan and husband, Richard of Abilene, TX and Katrina Williams and husband, Bruce of Bloomington; nine step grandchildren; fifteen step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sisters, Cleo Garsnett and Mable Meadows; two brothers, Stanley and Gilbert Hawkins. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 30th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Randy Martin and Billy Brim officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, July 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
