Obituary of Lloyd W. Melvin

Bedford Lloyd W. Melvin, 67, of 1102 22nd Street, Bedford, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at his residence. Born November 28, 1943 in Bedford, he was the son of Lloyd E. and Lucille (DeArmond) Melvin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Cecil Martin Post #250 of Mitchell. Survivors include two sisters, Cora Elkins and husband, Charlie of Bedford, Delia Townsend of Stockton, IL; three brothers, Randy Lee Melvin of Billings, Montana, Ralph Lloyd Melvin of Bedford and Ronnie Eugene Melvin of Lebannon. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Archie Melvin and a sister, Caroline. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 18th at Dive Cemetery with Jerry Hillenburg officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of American Legion Cecil Martin Post #250 of Mitchell.Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Monday, July 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
