Obituary of Evelyn Megnin

Greenwood Evelyn Megnin, 85, of 608 Runyon Road, Greenwood, IN and formerly of Bedford, died at 2:50 am on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus, IN. Born November 12, 1925 in Kokomo, IN, she was the daughter of Frank and Sarah Adelaide (Eads) Sanders. She married George H. Megnin on April 19, 1947 and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1988. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Buchanan and later was a physical therapy assistant at Bedford Regional Medical Center for twenty-two years. Survivors include four sons, Jerry Megnin and wife, Sheryl of Bloomington, David Megnin and wife, June of Columbus, Ned Megnin and wife, Shirley of Bloomington and Bruce Megnin and wife, Lola of Bedford; one daughter, Ann Deweese and husband, John of Greenwood; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, a brother, Frank O Sanders and a sister, Doris Sanders. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Spence Tuttle officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 22nd and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, December 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
