Obituary of Robert Eugene Meadows

Bedford Robert Eugene Meadows, 80, of Bedford, died at 9:58 am on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital. Born May 15, 1927 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Morrell and Marjorie (Peel) Meadows. He married Louella Pritchett on March 22, 1947 and she survives. He was retired from General Motors and Williams Realty and had worked for Pritchett Bros. Construction in Bedford. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM in Bedford, York Rite, Murat Shrine and Gillen Post #33 American Legion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WW II. Surviving with his wife, Louella is one brother, Jerry Meadows of Bedford and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jimmy Meadows and one sister, Barbara Maddox. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 8th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
