Obituary of Wendell W. McMillan

Springville Wendell W. McMillan, 80, of 335 McMillan Road, Springville, IN, died at 3:00 am on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his residence. Born November 10, 1928 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Benton and Geneva (Carter) McMillan. He married Wilma Jean Gonce on November 27, 1953 and she preceded him in death. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #841, the National Guard and Popcorn Christian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Ritter and husband, Danny of Needmore, Kathy Brew and husband, Marty of Georgia and Sandra ONeal and husband, Randy of Bloomington; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald McMillan of Springville and a special friend, Florence Ashcraft. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two sisters, Betty East and Georgia Hacker. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Lowder Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
