Obituary of Frances M. McFadden

Michigan CityFrances M. McFadden, 90 of Michigan City, IN and formerly of Bedford, IN passed November 10th at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center, in Michigan City. Mrs. McFadden was born February 6, 1916 in Tippecanoe County to Oliver and Alice (Brineger) Chasteen, both whom preceded her in death. On April 6, 1935 in Lawrence County, IN she married Frank W. McFadden and he preceded her in death. Mrs. McFadden had been head cashier at Danners in the mall for 15 years she was a lifelong member of Guthrie Christian Church in Bedford, IN and the Happy 6 Crafters. Frances enjoyed and spent many hours reading, crocheting, embroidering and painting. She especially enjoyed painting with her daughter and taking rides with her son. She was a loving wife, mother and friend and to know her was to love her. She will be sadly missed by all and fondly remembered. Surviving are daughter Brenda K. (James) Grogan of Michigan City; and son Charles N. (Helen) McFadden of West Lafayette, IN; grandchildren Mitzi Ann McGlone of Michigan City; Ellen M. McFadden of Lafeyette, and Patrick A. McFadden of West Lafayette, great-grandchildren Zach, Seth, Jesse, Emma Gish and TJ and Sylvia McFadden; many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Oweetah Chasteen, Ruth Wright, Madalyn McFadden, Margaret McFadden and brother-in-law John McFadden. She was preceded in death by a son Frank W. (Bill) McFadden and brother Charles E. Chasteen Funeral Information Visitation will be held Sunday, November 12 from 1:00 to 4:00 at Carlisle Funeral Home in Michigan City, IN and from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 14th at Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 15th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial following in Green Hill Cemetery.
