Obituary of Dale L. McCart

Bedford Dale L. McCart, 73, of 2108 12th Street, Bedford, IN, went to be with the Lord at 10:48 am on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. Center in Bedford. Born June 21, 1933 in Mitchell, he was the son of Chris R. and Dorothy G. (Williams) McCart. He married Oleta Brown on July 9, 1989 and she survives. He was a retired officer for the Bedford Police Department and a member of the Free Methodist Church in Bedford. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police #94 and a member of the Bedford Elks Lodge for forty-six years. Surviving is his wife, Oleta of Bedford; his mother, Dorothy McCart of Mitchell; five sons, Christopher McCart and his wife, Myra, Michael McCart and his wife, Debbie, all of Florida, Steve Stancombe and his wife, Nancy, Cliff Stancombe and his wife, Donnette and Greg Stancombe and his wife, Julie all of Bedford; two daughters, Rosanna McCart and Laura Ragone and her husband, Mike all of Bedford; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Norman McCart and his wife, Harriett of Mitchell and one sister, Joyce Ferguson of Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother-in-law and one granddaughter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Dave Colgan and Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
