Obituary of Pauline D. May

Bedford Pauline D. May, 84, of Bedford, died at 10:45 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born June 5, 1925 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lawrence and Clara Belle (Holmes) Knight. She married John D. (Dave) May on May 8, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1989. She retired as a foreman for Otis Elevator in Bloomington. She was a member of the Bedford Boat & Sportsmans Club, Eagles Auxillary and American Legion Auxillary. Survivors include children, Larry May and wife, Pat of Oolitic, Jay May of Bedford and Vicki Cooper of Mitchell; three grandsons, Chris May, Brad and Brent Brown; five great grandchildren and one brother, Charles Knight of Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Katherine Byers. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 27th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Pat Sinnott officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Pallbearers are Brad Brown, Brent Brown, Chris May, Terry Stevens, Jerry Hunsucker and Denny Reuter.
