Bedford – Michael R. Lane, 77, of Bedford, passed away at 8:18 pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.

Born June 21, 1947, in Mitchell, he was the son of Herschel Lee and Lois Grace (Beasley) Lane. He married Janice Grissom in 1985, and she survives. He retired as a machine operator at General Motors.

Survivors include his wife, Janice, of Bedford; two sons, Michael Lane (Tessa Marie), of Springville and Thomas Lane (Mechell), of Heltonville; three grandchildren, Megan, Cameron and Clairann; two great-grandchildren, Justin Flynn and Maleha Lane; a brother, Jerry Lane, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian; a grandson, Mike Lane; two brothers, Bobby and Jim.
