Obituary of Glenda Yvonne Fisher

Bedford – Glenda Yvonne Fisher, 81, of Bedford, passed away at 4:54 am on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born October 3, 1943, in Heltonville, she was the daughter of Elmer G. and Mildred “Leola” (Barrett) Harrell. She married James A. Fisher on June 10, 1962, and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2020. She was a secretary for Homosassa Christian Church in Florida and had been a Tupperware sales representative for 30+ years. She was a volunteer coordinator at Hoosier Christian Village and owner of Bedford Lawn & Garden Center. She was a member of the Heltonville Christian Church and attended New Union Christian Church. As the wife of a pastor, she was affiliated with many churches in Lawrence and Jackson Counties. Additionally, she was a 50+ year member of the Leesville Order of the Eastern Star where she had served as Worthy Matron numerous times. Survivors include a son, Mark Fisher and wife, Crystal, of Bedford; a daughter, Pamela Adam and husband, Brandon, of Lexington, IN; four grandchildren, Travis Fisher and wife, Jamie, of Odon, Trista Sego and husband, Camden, of Bloomington, Victoria O’Connell and Kylie O’Connell both of Lexington, IN; two great-grandchildren, Grayson Lee Sego and Reid Lee Fisher; a brother, James Harrell and wife, Brenda, of Seymour; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister-in-law, Sheila Harrell. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Taylor Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
