Howard was the kindest person a scared kid could have ever had as a bus driver. The bus was stuck once on Herd Hollar Rd in gravel and snow. He and my brother went out with chains on the tires. It took them some time to get them all hooked up then wouldn't you know we were out and on our merry way to school. He had to drop of at Fayetteville then BMS and take us to the high school. We were all late. He radiod Fayetteville to make sure the kids would get a late breakfast. He then stopped at magic morning and bought us all doughnuts but didn't tell us what he was doing. That day he took his time to the high school and made sure we all had a chance to eat our doughnuts and drink our milk he purchased out of his pocket to make sure we all got breakfast that morning. Some kids on our bus the school meals were all they ever got and he knew that. He was my bus driver from mid grade school until I graduated. He listened to the kids all of them even the ones noted as bad kids. He had the biggest heart and was so kind. I will never forget you Howard. Prayers for your family as I know your in the right place.

Don & I visited with Howard a few years ago. Being a tractor man, both he & Don shared their love of farming & all things to do with Farming. He was a gentle man, a sweet hearted man & loved his Jesus. When he met Jesus face to face, what a hallelujah day. Don & Jeanine Mowery

My condolences go out to his family and friends. I knew Howard through my Husband Banjo through trucking. He was such a sweet and kind man. He will be greatly missed. RIP and many prayers for the family
