Bedford – Sally Jean Cox, 85, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born February 16, 1939, in London, KY, she was the daughter of Walter and Julia Rush. She married Joe Cox in 1956, and he preceded her in death. She retired from M. Fine & Sons.

Survivors include sons, Rocky (Shelly) Cox, and Terry Cox, all of Bedford; a daughter, Sandra Dowling, of Bedford; grandchildren, Stephen Lake, Derek (Ashley) Dowling, Dustin Cox, Jesse Cox, Braden (Emma) Cox, Morgan Lambert; several great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Linda Lake; son-in-law, Doug Dowling; daughter-in-law, Kathy Cox; brothers and sister.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 6th at Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
