Bedford – Anthony W. “Tony” Root, 74, of Bedford, passed away at 11:32 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024, at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born December 31, 1949, the son of Kenneth and June (Blunk) Root. He was a welder in Indianapolis.

Survivors include two sisters, Dawn Kluesner and Bobbette Root (Butch); a nephew, Dustin Kluesner; a great-nephew, Shawn Kluesner; a daughter, Cinnamon Kelley and her daughter, Bailee Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary Root; his paternal grandparents, Robert F. and Minnie Root; his maternal grandparents, Herschel and Elsie Blunk; step-grandmother, Mayme Carter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Bob Courson officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
