Mitchell – Leonard Thomas Daugherty, 68, of Mitchell, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his residence.

Born December 27, 1955, in Gary, IN, he was the son of John and Virginia (Ard) Daugherty. He married Joyce White on October 25, 1974, and she survives. He was a self-employed contractor and home remodeler. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Mitchell; daughters, Lisa Daugherty (Karrie), of Oolitic and Tara Daugherty (Steve), of Bedford; sons, Kyle Daugherty (Veda) and Aron Daugherty (Danielle), all of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Nikki York, Brentlee, Haley, Dakoda Daugherty, Roy “Bub” York, Ethan Daugherty, Baleigh Daugherty, Preslie Nikirk; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Colton McDonald; two brothers, Robert and Mike Daugherty, of Bedford; a sister, Connie Kendall, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dan; a brother-in-law, Mike Kendall; two sisters-in-law, Sheila Daugherty and Shelia White.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 3rd at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Jegan Peter officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery with military rites accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
