Tina Gale Staggs Obituary

Bloomington – Tina Gale Pierce Staggs, 62, of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at I.U. Health Hospice House.


Born October 3, 1961, in Tacoma, WA, she was the daughter of Freddie and Barbara (Lewis) Pierce. Tina was of the Pentecostal faith and was known for her dry sense of humor and quick wit.


Survivors include her mother, Barbara Pierce; a son, Aaron (Lindsay) Staggs; three granddaughters, Madison, Alex, and Elliot Staggs; a brother, Bryan Pierce; two nephews, Jacob and Joseph Pierce; special cousins, Rhonda, Tyler, and Brennan Minton; her long-time friend, Scott Hawkins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Pierce; a special aunt, Carolyn Brummett; maternal and paternal grandparents and her special buddy, her black Lab, Bentley.


At her request, funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 27th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
