Bedford - Vera M. Anderson, 91, of Bedford, passed away at 5:20 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Stonebridge Health Campus.

Born May 8, 1933, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lewis and Lucille (Kiser) Robertson. She married Robert Anderson on December 30, 1950, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2008. She was a homemaker and member of the Leatherwood Christian Church. She loved to cook and was famous for her pecan pies and yeast rolls.

Survivors include a daughter, Diana McBride, of Bedford; a grandson, Todd McBride, of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Tatom and John McBride; a brother, Henry Robertson, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son-in-law, Curt McBride.

Per her wishes, graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 17th in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Sherman Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Assoc.
