Bedford - Roy L. Dowling, 63, of Bedford, passed away at 11:35 am, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at his residence.

He was born August 31, 1960, in Bedford, the son of Carl Dowling and Shirley (Miller) Flinn. He married Janice J. Valeka on December 25, 1985, and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2014.

Survivors include four sons, Tommy Dowling and Jeff Harris, both of Russell, KS, David Harris, of Texas and Jerry Harris of KS; a daughter, Bonnie, of FL; two grandchildren, Ariel and David; a sister, Angela Stiffler; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Mike Eads officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
