Obituary of Jack Edward Quackenbush

Bedford - Jack Edward Quackenbush, 51, of Bedford, passed away at 11:00 am on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Majestic Care in Bedford. Born April 14, 1973, in Bedford, he was the son of Randy and Linda (Gates) Quackenbush. He was an assembler at LARC Center and, while living at Simpson House, attended Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. Jack loved listening to country music especially Alan Jackson. He always looked forward to all the holidays and celebrating them with his family, friends and caregivers. He always greeted everybody with a big wide grin and a thumbs up. He touched a lot of people in his lifetime and always remembered their names and where he met and spent time with them. He will be missed by his parents, of Bedford; his paternal grandmother, Sharon Quackenbush, of Bedford; Aunts and Uncles, Gordon and Dolores (Gates) Mundy, of Bedford, Fred and Kathy Gates, of N. Charleston, SC, Tim and Teri Gates, of Bedford, David and Kathy Thorne, of Bedford, Mike and Diana Lawson, of Bedford, Paul and Debbie (Gates) Mount, of Port Angeles, WA, Steve and Beth (Quackenbush) Blackwell, of Heltonville, IN, Jim and Lori (Quackenbush) Kolzcak, of Westfield, Sonny Robbin, of Richmond, IN and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bud and Dorothy Gates; his paternal grandfather, Jack Quackenbush, and an Aunt, Terri Robbins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, July 26th at Hillcrest Christian Church with Pastor Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Christian Church.
