Obituary of Fred W. Link

Bedford - Fred W. Link, 92, of Bedford, passed away at 8:20 am on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Autumn Trace in Bedford. Born May 11, 1932, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Fred and Thelma (Harkness) Link. He married Joan Hedley on January 26, 1952, and she preceded him in death on December 16, 2013. He began working at Cummins, Inc. in Columbus in June 1955 and held many positions throughout his career. He retired as vice president in May 1987. He was a member of the Bedford First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a daughter, Lana LaGrange and husband, John, of Bedford; a son, Bruce Link, of Crossville, TN; four grandchildren, Michael LaGrange, Stephanie Link, Heather Motley, and Brian LaGrange; five great-grandchildren, Adelyn LaGrange and Landon Motley, Grayson Motley, Carter LaGrange, and Layla Duncan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two grandsons, Brent LaGrange and Steven Link; a brother, David (Pete) Link and a sister, Ann Tague. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 23rd at the Bedford First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
