I am really sad for the loss of sweet Ann! She was such a kind person! I always enjoyed talking to her. She was one of my Girl Scout leaders from way back, and she taught our troop how to make lasagna on an open fire in an iron kettle, and also how to bake cookies in foil-lined boxes around the campfire. Years later I rented my first apartment from Jim and Ann. and another apartment after being married a few years later. Several of our family members and friends rented from them, as well. They were good, kind, hardworking people, and they raised good kids. It was a blessing and privilege to have know Ann, and Oolitic will never be the same without her!! Praying for all the family and asking God to give you His peace.

I am so grateful to Aunt Ann for sharing stories about Carl and my Mother during our visit this March, I so looked forward to hearing many more this August. Although our own visit was brief, my Mother never forgot Ann's kindness and friendship over her lifetime and always thought so highly of her. My family's condolences go out to all of my cousins and those who knew Ann, as it only took a minute to understand what a kind and caring person she was, May she rest in eternal peace.

Such a sweet lady. Always smiling and ready to help someone. She always managed to find housing for those who needed it. She will be missed.

To all the Ryan Family, I knew Ann for many years, though not well. She was always upbeat, friendly and a hard worker who loved her family. I am thankful to have known her. She made Oolitic and the world a better place. My grandparents were friends with Jim's family when they all lived in Kentucky, before they moved up here. The Ryans have always been wonderful people who treated everyone well and they all worked hard. I know Ann helped many people in many ways, especially the residents of the apartments. Many people depended on her help and she never disappointed them. Her quiet presence will be missed and my heart goes out to all her family in your loss. We were all blessed to have known her. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers during this painful time. I am in a nursing home in Bloomington now so I won't be able to attend her funeral but my thoughts and prayers will be with you all. God Bless you. I know all my own family feels the same way.
