Springville - Sheila A. (Goins) McDowell, 58, of Springville, passed away peacefully at 6:00 am on Monday, May 27, 2024, at her residence.

Born November 29, 1965, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Charles Goins, Jr. and Frances (Reynolds) Goins. She was a sales person for Rogers Building Supply and assisted with Green Hill Catering. She never met a stranger and always had a smile. She loved spending time with family, chasing tornadoes and the Wizard of Oz.

Survivors include two sisters, Darlene (James) Lewis and Sondra (Brent) Harbstreit; her best friend, Sherry Waldridge; beloved pets, Maggie may, Micky, and Ducky; nieces and nephews, Stacy Gilmore, Jamie Hudson, Heather Cook, Anon Goins, Audrey Goins, Cody Alhorn, Marie Lewis, Megan Boden, Miriam Lewis, and Alexis Harbstreit; aunts, Hazel Silvers and Brenda Sue Hibbard; cousin, Eugene Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jimmy and Donnie Goins; her step-dad, Jack Bridwell.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 1st at the Owensburg Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Owensburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Owensburg Cemetery.
