Obituary of Hubert R. Flynn

Bedford- Hubert R. Flynn, 71, of Bedford, passed away at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Stonebridge Health Campus with his wife, Brenda, by his side. Born August 1, 1952, in Bedford, he was the youngest child of Jesse William and Gladys Leona (Covey) Flynn. He married Brenda Edington on November 7, 1987, and she survives. Hubert was a retired concrete finisher. Hubert had an artistic talent for cabinet building. He built many pieces of home furniture and kitchen cabinets for friends, family and local residents in the area. He was detail oriented and took great pride in the finished product of his labor. He had served as a volunteer with the SOAR Reading Program teaching adult reading and for the Orange County Humane Society. He was also a member of the Laborer's Union #741. Hubert was a quiet, gentle man who loved his family dearly. He treasured the simple home life with Brenda and their pets. Survivors include his wife, Brenda, of Bedford; one son, Miles Flynn of Paoli; one brother, James Monte Flynn of Bedford; mother-in-law, Patricia Kruchten of Bedford; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially Neal Stillman of Mitchell. He is preceded by his parents, four sisters, Karen Sue Flynn, Nancy Rae Flynn, Mona Diane Beauchamp, Marilou Combs; two brothers, Joseph Michael Flynn, and Lanny Mack Flynn. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024, at Day & Carter Mortuary with Chaplain Kelly Carson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to the time of service on Tuesday.
