Obituary of Esta L. Maddox

Bedford Esta L. Maddox, 85, of Bedford, died at August 19, 2010 at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington. Born December 24, 1924 in Monroe Co., IN, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Ella (Luther) Phillips. She married Perry Ray Maddox and he preceded her in death in 1980. She retired from the Childs Elementary School in Bloomington and was a member of the Gulletts Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Larry Maddox and wife, Monta of Bedford; three grandchildren, Rick Maddox and wife, Robin, Kelly Maddox and Joey Maddox and wife, Candi; nine great grandchildren, Audrey, Austin, Aimee, Haley, Lindsey, Hunter, Tylor and Marissa Maddox and Whitney Allender; a great great grandson, Braxten; a sister, Rossie Stewart of Bloomington and a nephew, Dewey Stewart of Mooresville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Phillips, her parents and husband. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Monday, August 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Billy Brim officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 22nd and from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Monday, August 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Pallbearers are: Rick, Joey and Kelly, Austin, Hunter and Tylor Maddox.
