Obituary of Martha Ann West

Springville – Martha Ann West, 83, of Springville, passed away at 9:39 am on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at her residence. Born March 24, 1940, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Wayne and Ruby (Martin) Payton. She married Kenneth Ramsey and he preceded her in death. She later married Elmer Strunk and he also preceded her in death. She married Wendell West and he survives. She retired as an assembly worker at RCA in Bloomington and attended the Cincinnati Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her husband, Wendell, of Springville; two children, David Wayne Ramsey and wife, Debby, of Bedford and Joy Easton and husband, Kevin, of Oolitic; step-children, Dennis West and wife, Christie, and Bradley Gene West and wife, Jen, all of Springville; granddaughter, Amy Ramsey; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; step-grandchildren, Steven West, Levi West, Cheyenne West, and Bailey West; seven step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Payton and wife, Kay, of Brownstown; a sister, Priscilla Smoot and husband, Dennis, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two grandsons, Joshua and Matt, and 10 siblings. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17th at Hilltop Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bill Johnson and Rev. Kevin Maberry officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday at the church. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
