Obituary of Deward Prince

Bedford - Deward Prince, 86, of Springville, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at 6:45 pm at Majestic Care of Bedford. Born December 20, 1937, he was the son of Opal and Vannie Prince. Deward was a loving father and grandpa and he loved fishing, hunting, and farming. Survivors include sons, Eugene Prince and wife Lue of Bedford, Roger Prince, of Monroe County; grandson Josh Prince of Bedford; great grandchildren, Lillie Prince, Jailynn, Joslyn, and Jazzlyn Prince; a brother, Gene Prince of Chapel Hill; Sisters Rita Prince, of Monroe County, Kay Olson (Roger), of Bloomington, Susie Jones of Bloomington, and Fay Phillips, of Bedford. He is preceded by his parents, a son, Scott Prince; grandsons, Nathan Prince and Keith Prince; a granddaughter, Amber Prince; a sister, Margie Meadows; a brother Hanford Prince. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1:00 pm on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
