Bedford – Joan Adams, 91, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at White River Lodge.

Born Evelyn Joan Lewis on July 18, 1932, in Trinity Springs, IN, she was the daughter of Gladys and Hazel (Roberts) Lewis. She married Vernie Adams Jr on July 22, 1950, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2023. She was a member of the First Church of God in Bedford.

Survivors include three sons, Vern (Susan) Adams, of New River, AZ, Steve Adams, of Edmond, OK, and Mike (Giselle) Adams, of Pleasanton, CA; six grandchildren, Vernon (Kat) Adams, of Castle Pines, CO, Becka Adams, of Sherman Oaks, CA, Ryan Adams and Emily Adams, of Edmond, OK, Gavin Adams and Morgan Adams, of Pleasanton, CA; one sister, Carolyn (John) Buttz, of Bloomington; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Linda Sue Adams; four brothers, Bob, Bill, Paul Gene and Jim Lewis.
