Obituary of Larry J. McPike

June 1, 1939 – October 4, 2023 Bedford – Larry McPike, 84, of Bedford, passed away at 10:45 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Indiana University Bedford Hospital. Born on June 1, 1939, in Bedford, he was the son of Jesse and Ruth (Anderson) McPike. He married Wanda L. Fish on September 4, 1960, and she survives. He attended Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and was an Engineer at NSWC Crane. Survivors include his wife, Wanda; two sons, Jonathan McPike and wife Kimberlee of Brentwood, TN; Timothy McPike and wife Dawn of Avon; six grandchildren, Jessika Richards and husband Michael, Jennifer, Jordan, Jaimee, Jared and Ethan; and three great-grandchildren, Kaden, Keagan and Mavric; a brother, Jerry McPike and wife Janis of Bedford. He is preceded by his parents and three sisters, Betty Jones, Mildred Watson, and Ruby Tumey. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, October 13, 2023, at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church with Pastor Steve Wever and Pastor Jeff Hudelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church Cemetery.
