Bedford – Wesley Gene Patton, 65, of Bedford, passed away at 3:55 am on Monday, October 2, 2023, at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.

Born June 18, 1958, in Anderson, he was the son of Leroy and Wanda (Swafford) Patton. He married Melissa Hunter on January 16, 2009, and she survives. He was a carpet installer for over twenty-five years and had worked at General Motors. He enjoyed golfing and watching the Indianapolis Colts. He loved his family and spending time with the grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa, of Bedford; children, Chris Patton, Matthew Patton, Joshua Patton and wife, Sheena, Wesley Jr. and wife, Candace, Miranda Banks and husband, Larry, Alyssa Grace and husband, Justin, Matthew Judah and wife, Camesha; brothers, Dwight Patton and wife, Diana, Eddie Patton, and Clark Patton; a sister, Linda Patton; thirteen grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and one on the way; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rodney Patton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Tom East officiating. Burial will follow in Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Sunday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
