Obituary of Anna Mary Porter Beedie Luttrell

Terre Haute Anna Mary Porter Beedie Luttrell, 75, of Terre Haute, formerly of Bedford, ended her earthly sojourn at 11:32 pm on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Union Hospital following an emergency surgery. Born May 28, 1932, she was the daughter of Joseph Porter and Mabel Irene Toon Porter Holmes. Annas father died when she was a child and her mother married Harvey G. Holmes in 1951. They preceded her in death. Anna retired from Westview Manor Nursing Home in 1997 after twenty-seven years of service. She moved to Terre Haute in 2000. Anna had a strong will, fierce determination, independence, a kind nature and a strong belief in the Lord. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Sue Beedie Thomas and her husband, James R. of Terre Haute; grandsons, Roger Hall of Mitchell, Richard Shields and Ryan Shields of Terre Haute, a sister, Patsy J. Smith of Indianapolis, a niece, Denise Dalton and her husband, Donald, a nephew, Steven Smith and his wife, Janet and family, and her beloved dog, Tippy who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Jack Beedie, her husband, Morris Luttrell and a brother-in-law, Donald Smith. Now at peace, knowing she was and is loved, she will be laid to rest and forever cherished. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ken Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Friday, January 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
