Ellen loved poetry. For the 53 years of their marriage, Rick wrote her a poem, on most if not all special occasions. Ellen would smile, it was her most prized gifts. So I know that if Ellen could speak to all of us that loved her and were deeply loved by her she would say: I am sorry that I left you I know you feel alone God told me that He needed me He called me to come home And what seemed to be an instant... In the twinkling of a night An angel gently took my hand And let me tour the sky As I ascended into heaven Beyond the pearly gates The angels were rejoicing Then I saw His radiant face God's eyes shone down upon me From the glory of His thrown He said" Enter into paradise coz heaven's now your home" I fought the fight I finished the race Throughout the trial I kept my faith no longer do I suffer My body's been made whole I am flying with the angels And heaven's now my home God told me not to worry He said you'd be okay Because eternity is forever And we'll meet again someday I fought the fight I finished the race Throughout the trial kept my faith No longer do I suffer my body's Been made whole I am flying with the angels And heaven's now my home I am flying with the angels And my heaven's now my home. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Judy Moutardier-Cooper

Ellen has been my lifelong neighbor! When I was young she would always be in the bedroom with Tammie and myself saying something to make us laugh. She was always so funny and kind. I will miss seeing her drive by on her way to Chick-fil-A and our chats in the road on there way by the house. You all are in my thoughts and prayers! She was a beautiful soul!

Ellen was such a sweet, loving person. She was fully dedicated to her husband, her three sons and their families. She always had a sweet, friendly smile on her face when she would show up at one of her kids’ ball games or Curt’s performance with his band, Stone Carnival. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be sadly missed. Love and prayers for her family. Rest in peace, lovely lady.
