Barb and I have been friends since we were 6 years old. She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know her. She confronted her battle with cancer with strength and dignity. She smiled when I knew she really did not feel well. Her family and my family were very close and were really one family for many years during our time in school. And as we reunited during adulthood it was as if we had never really been apart for very long. All of my memories are swimming around in my head as I try to grasp the fact that Barb has passed away. She will always be a major part of my life and those memories will always be a treasure to me.
