Obituary of Donna Johnson

Scottsburg – Donna Johnson, 76, of Bedford passed away at 3:35 pm on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at The Waters in Scottsburg, Indiana. Born July 1, 1947, in Lawrence county, IN, she was the daughter of Vearl and Flossie (Robertson) Johnson. Donna was a homemaker until her children were grown. Later, she worked as a CNA at Columbus Hospital and Private Homecare. She also worked in insurance sales. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed crocheting, painting and roller skating. Survivors include her three daughters, Tessa Dishman, Laveda Robbins (Don), Katherine Piatt (Ron); ten grandchildren, Derick Pendleton, Shawn Estes, Andrew Robbins, Kayla Dishman, Amber Fugate, Monika Patterson, Mikka Moore, Lydia Piatt, Billy Dishman, and Shelby Piatt; and twenty-one great grandchildren. Donna is preceded by her parents, Vearl and Flossie Johnson, five siblings; Harold Johnson, Gerald Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Toby Johnson and a sister, Sharon Rose Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Leland Parks officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to the time of service on Saturday. Burial will follow at the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery.
