Mrs. Luse was my kindergarten teacher in 1970. I remember her well. She made going to school fun, I looked forward to going to the morning kindergarten class. One of my favorite teachers for sure. So sorry to hear the news. My thoughts are with her family.

I have known the Luse family all my life. Being such close friends with Jill, I was at their home many times. June and Bill were the most wonderful people anyone would want to be associated with. I had the honor of assisting June one summer in the Headstart Kindergarten program and she was truely a wonderful educator and person. She will be greatly missed. My sincerest sympathy to the Luse family. My fondest memory of June comes from our first grade classroom at Oolitic. She was always so properly attired and groomed and had a very gentle and kind nature while dealing with all of us little folks. I remember my first grade birthday party and her passing out the cupcakes that my Mother had baked for that big event. Her contributions to children and the community are more than admirable. I would like to be able to make it down to express my sympathy in person but I will not be able to make it. June will be dearly missed. She was a wonderful servant of God and has touched many lives. I can only imagine how wonderful it will be to someday be greeted in heaven by all the saints that have gone on before us. The joy she is now experiencing standing in the presence of Jesus her savior and king!

The Grafton family has been intertwined with the lives of the Luse family for many years on many levels through school and marriage and a friendship of deep respect. June was an amazing role model for many of us young women who were coming of age in the confusing and turbulent 60's. Her life is full of accomplishments and kudos but the real strength of her power will be seen as June's family gathers to honor all she contributed to the strength and culture of their own individual families and to an ever expanding community. We honor her in our memories.

I still have very fond memories of Mrs. Luse from Kindergarten. I remember the red sparkling shoes she wore when she played the piano in our class-I was absolutely mesmerized by the sparkle. She was an excellent teacher. I can still visualize the Kindergarten room and all the stations set up in there for our education and enjoyment. A life well lived and respected. June's family is in my prayers. I became acquainted with her some years ago through serving with her on the Girl Scout board of directors. She was a delightful lady who brought a love of children, great common sense and good business acumen to the board. I felt honored to become her friend and know she will be missed by many folks from every walk of life.
