Obituary of Russell Dean Tidd, Jr.

Williams-Russell Dean Tidd, Jr., 62, of Williams passed into the presence of the Lord at 5:43pm on Friday, June 30, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Born April 11, 1961, in Ottawa, IL, he was the son of Russell Dean and Alma B. (Seibert) Tidd. He married Millie Marie Lynch on September 4, 1987, and she survives. He was a truck driver for Stone City Products. Russell was a member of the American Legion Post #250, the Sons of Thunder, and the Old Union Christian Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Millie Marie Tidd of Williams, two daughters: Candace Caroline Brown and her husband, David of East Oolitic, Tana Marie Hutcherson and her husband, Ben of Williams; a son, Benjamin Russell Leo Tidd of Peerless; three grandchildren: Harmony Paige Eagan, David Duane Brown, Jr., Geneva Mae Hutcherson; his father, Russell Dean Tidd, Sr; a sister, Barbara Ann “Barbie” Porter and her husband, Ralph of Beaver Dam, KY, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo, and Lucille Lynch. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 6th, 2023, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Perry Tom East officiating. Burial will follow in Port Williams Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of the American Legion Post #250. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, July 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
