Obituary of Terri L. Robbins

Terri L. (Quackenbush) Robbins, 74, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family in the early hours of Monday, March 27, 2023. Terri was born July 4, 1948, to Jack and Sharon (Bridwell) Quackenbush. She attended Bedford High School, studied business at Vincennes University, and retired as a Program Analyst at NSWC Crane after 20 years of loyal and dedicated service. Terri battled a rare autoimmune disease and received a liver and kidney transplant in 2008. She actively participated in clinical trials and studies at the Mayo Clinic, inspiring and supporting others fearlessly and lovingly in the years before and after her transplant. She was a nurturing person who enjoyed offering encouragement, giving gifts, and hosting large family gatherings. She always put others before herself and sent a card for every occasion. Her hobbies and interests included travel, photography, baking, air shows, card games, sports, true crime, genealogy, and puzzles. Predeceased by her father, Jack, she is survived by her loving husband, Wayne “Sonny” Robbins of Richmond, IN; her mother, Sharon Quackenbush of Bedford, IN; three siblings Randy (Linda) Quackenbush, Beth (Steve) Blackwell, and Lori (Jim) Kolczak; two daughters, Michelle (Gary) Ooley and Kristy Taylor; two step-children, Jack Robbins and Carrie (Chris) Rock; nine grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The viewing ceremony will be held at Day & Carter Mortuary on Saturday, April 1, 2023, beginning at 12:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service and celebration of Terri’s life at 2:00 p.m. The burial will take place in Green Hill Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to the Indiana Donor Network, Donate Life Indiana, Mayo Clinic, Reid Health Foundation, or the American Liver Foundation in lieu of flowers.
