Obituary of Jamey Lee (Crane) Allen

Bedford-Jamey Lee (Crane) Allen, 60 of Bedford passed away at 12:56 pm on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born June 12, 1962, in Bedford, she was the daughter of James L. Crane. She had worked for Westview Manor Nursing and Rehab for 39 years, the first 30 years she was a CNA, her last nine years she worked as the Activity Assistant. She is survived by a daughter, Jordan Allen of Bedford; a son, Jeremy Allen and his fiancé Emily Shelly of Bedford; four grandchildren: Elijah Allen, Aundreyia Allen, Harley Allen, and Oliver Allen; a brother, Richard Crane and his wife Deanna of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her father, a grandson, Remington Allen, and a brother, Clifford Crane. Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Frank Sheppard officiating. The family will welcome visitors from 2:00 pm until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends consider contributions be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services, or the Activities Department at Westview Manor.
