Obituary of Michael Don Taylor

Bedford – Michael Don Taylor, 51, of Bedford, passed away at 12:40 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023, following a 2-year battle with Leukemia. Born March 28, 1971, in Bedford, he was the son of Don L. and Marilyn A. (Fields) Taylor. He married Lisa D. Taylor on May 1, 1993, and she survives. He was a mechanic for Independent Limestone Co. and attended the Englewood Baptist Church. He was an avid drag racer for many years. He loved riding motorcycles and working on the family farm. He was also a very proud papaw. Survivors include his wife, Lisa, of Bedford; two children, Alyssa Charles (Kane) and Dalton M Taylor, all of Bedford; one grandchild, Kolten E. Charles; a sister, Debra Taylor (Ernest), of Bedford; his father, Don, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn; a daughter, Amanda Marie (at birth); grandparents, Richard and Frances (Snow) Fields and Aden and Mamie (Roberts) Taylor. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the House of Prayer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22nd and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
