Obituary of Chester Lloyd Morris

Bedford – Chester Lloyd Morris, 92, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at 11:45 am on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at I.U. Health Paoli Hospital. Born September 27, 1930, in Salem, IN, he was the son of Arthur and Gladys (Swain) Morris. He married Barbara Lucille Wade on September 3, 1954, and she survives. He retired as an electronics technician at NWSC Crane and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of Bedford; three children, Dave Morris and wife, Annette, Sandy Buckman and husband, Mike, all of Bedford, and Cheryl Concannon and husband, Phil, of Owensville; grandchildren, Geoff Morris and wife, Erika, Michelle Hartman and husband, Andrew, all of Bloomington, Brandy Bell and husband, Jamie, of Martinsville, Jayme Buckman, of Bedford, Chelsie Buckman, of Ft. Collins, CO, Michael Walls and wife, Christina, of Iowa, and Chris Walls and wife, Angela, of Owensville; twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, Ann, Leon, and Tub. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bud Smith and Rick Leach officiating and where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8th and from 9:30 am until the hour of service on Thursday, February 9th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
