Obituary of Jeddidiah Dale Cummings

Bloomfield- Jeddidiah “Jedd” Dale Cummings, 16, of Bloomfield, died on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Born December 1, 2005, he was the son of Jeffrey Cummings and Samantha (Jacob) Cummings. He was a Junior at Eastern Greene High School, and attending Hoosier Hills Career Center for construction. Jedd lived a life full of activity. A multi-sport athlete, he lettered in football, baseball, basketball, and track at Eastern Greene. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, camping, sledding on his boogie board, riding horses, motorcycles, and side by sides. He loved to build things, including a fort in the woods. He loved music, singing and dancing. He was involved in the Monroe County 4-H with horse and pony. He attended the Little Cincinnati Trinity Pentecost Church. He always made friends and enjoyed hanging out with them. He had the biggest heart and protected those he loved. Survivors include his parents, Samm and Jeff Cummings; sister, LaNessah Cylaine Cummings; brother, Clayton Jeffrey Cummings; grandparents, Cindy Cummings and husband Edward Stackpole, Richard Dale Jacob, Penny Lynn Jacob; “Granny” Mattie Brain; great-grandmothers, Juanita Adkins, JoAnn Jacob, Barb Lyons; aunts and uncles, Rebecca Cummings, Rustie Cassidy and husband Josh, Kristie Jochim and husband Paul, Cami Jacob, Dustin Brain and wife Rebekah, Michael Roberts, Andrew Roberts; first cousins, Andrew, Dylan and Abbagail Fuller, Dustin Bough, J.J. and Jalen Cassidy, Waylon and Owen Jochim, Wyla Suthard; several cousins, great aunts and uncles; he was loved by many. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jeffrey Cummings; his Pa, Aaron Brain; great-grandparents, Joseph Jacob, David “Mike” Adkins, Hovey Fredrick Lyons, Joy “Topsy” Lyons, and Sharon Cummings. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12th in the Eastern Greene Middle School gymnasium. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13th at the Eastern Greene Middle School gymnasium with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Dishman cemetery.
