Bedford – Betty Ann Flick, 96, of Bedford, passed away at 12:30 pm, on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Westview Nursing and Rehab.

Born January 22, 1926, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Earl and Goldie (Tucker) Short. She married William Ottis Flick and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1997. She had been a clerk in the Fayetteville Store and a matron/cook for the Lawrence County Jail. She was a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Michael Flick, of Bedford; two grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Flick (Gavin), of Bloomington and Nathan Charles Flick (Laura), of Bedford; four great-grandchildren, Clayton, Kasyn, Cooper, and Ellie; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Flick, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Jerry Lee Short.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 23rd at the Fayetteville Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Walden officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fayetteville Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 22nd at the Fayetteville Baptist Church. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
