Obituary of Ossie Misuraca
Bloomington – Ossie “Osa” (Morgan) Misuraca, 92, of Bloomington, formerly of Bedford, passed away at 12:15 am on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at I.U. Health Hospice House.
Born April 25, 1930, in Hazard, KY, she was the daughter of Rutherford Benjamin “R.B.” and Seattle (Hensley) Morgan. She married Victor Misuraca in 1982 and he preceded her in death. She retired as a waitress and cashier from the Morning Call Coffee Stand in New Orleans. She attended the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and volunteered in the St. Vincent Thrift Shop. She made friends anywhere she went. She loved dogs, gambling, playing cards, race horses, and fishing.
Surviving is a nephew, Joe Morgan (Becky), of South Carolina; a niece, Cathy Harlow (Patrick), of Bedford; three cousins, Lois Craig, Debby Branigan, and Michael McDaniel, all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Emery Morgan and a sister, China Elizabeth Morgan.
Per Ossie’s wishes, cremation was chosen, and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Thrift Store. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
