Obituary of Nick W. Pace

Bedford – Nick W. Pace, 70, of Bedford, passed away at 5:00 am, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at his residence. Born February 25, 1952, in Bedford, he was the son of Virgil “Cotton” and Mary (Sipes) Pace. He married Shirley Brashear on August 23, 1985, and she survives. He was a graduate of Shawswick High School with the class of 1970 and a mechanic and co-owner of Cotton’s Auto Service in Bedford. He was an avid bowler and participated on several leagues. Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of Bedford; a son, Brian Pace, of Boston, MA; siblings, Patricia Fitzgerald, of Bedford, Diana Anderson and husband, Ned, of Bedford, Danny Pace and wife, Carla, of Bedford; In-laws, Helen Brashear and wife, Kesha, of Bedford, Johnny Brashear and wife, Mary, of Bedford, Rita Brashear, of TN, Dennis Brashear and Ellen, of New Mexico, Thomas Brashear and wife, Barbara, of Bloomington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janet Pace; sister-in-law, Marsha Brown; brother-in-law, Paul Brashear; mother and father-in-law, Edna and Leo Brashear and his beloved dog, Bailey. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Donald Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 15th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, August 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
